We understand the daily pressures educators face, strained relationships, unresolved tension, and the quiet toll it takes on wellbeing. At Culcha, we offer more than quick fixes. We create space for reflection, growth, and honest conversation, so staff feel supported, connected, and capable of building stronger relationships and healthier school cultures that thrive.
The heart of Culcha began over a decade ago when Carolyn, Culcha’s founder, took a group of Year 10 students to a youth forum where they created a wellbeing initiative called The Green Note, a program where students wrote anonymous notes of appreciation to teachers. The ripple effect was lasting. Notes were pinned to staffroom walls, tucked into wallets, and re-read on the tough days.
This quiet moment of connection spoke volumes: schools don’t need grand gestures, they need communities where people feel seen, heard, and valued. That’s exactly what Culcha stands for.
Every day, educators show up, stretched thin, emotionally exhausted, and carrying more than most people realise. In staffrooms and classrooms, conflict simmers beneath the surface, rarely spoken about but widely felt. Tension builds, relationships strain, and the weight of unaddressed issues takes its toll.
From decades inside the school system, we saw what was missing. Not just professional learning, but personal support. Not just tools to manage behaviour, but space to understand it. Not just mediation when things fall apart, but the skills to stop conflict from festering in the first place.
So we built something different.
Culcha helps individuals and teams navigate conflict, restore trust, and build school cultures that support, not drain, the people in them.
We don’t do one-size-fits-all. We don’t offer feel-good fluff. And we definitely don’t do band-aid fixes.
What we offer is simple: space to be heard, skills to move forward, and the kind of guidance that helps people improve their relationships and fulfil their potential.
Culcha believes every school can become a thriving, connected community, where educators feel safe, supported, and truly valued.
Because when we support the educators who shape the minds of the future, we ignite positive change.
